Mike Hughes has over 13 years’ experience analysing consumer trends, attitudes and behaviours and currently heads up the research and insight division at FMCG Gurus. Mike has a particular interest in highlighting how consumer attitudes and behaviours can often differ and what the true meaning of trends are for the industry.
Dr. Ruud Albers is a co-founder and a Chief Scientific Officer of NutriLeads, a dynamic clinical-stage health ingredients company that develops crop-derived food ingredients with clinically proven health benefits. Previously, Dr. Albers worked at Unilever, where he built and led the global expert group on nutrition, immunity, and gut health in various roles up to Global R&D Director of Bioscience, Nutrition & Health Discover Platforms. From 2007 to 2012 he also chaired the ILSI-Europe task force on nutrition and immunity that published seminal papers on immunomodulation in humans. Dr. Albers obtained his Ph.D. in immunomodulation at Utrecht University and studied intestinal metabolism at Rockefeller University in New York.
Dr. Shawn Talbott is responsible for Amare’s research, development and product formulation. Dr. Shawn leads all aspects of the development of new product formulations and specifications, as well as clinical and experimental research, product claims substantiation and technical support. His unique ability to explain complex terminology in simple terms helps people understand the science behind new and existing products. His 20+ years of experience developing nutritional products that have generated more than $1 Billion in sales has all led to him finding his true passion at Amare — using his skills and experience to help people feel better through improved mental wellness and psychological vigor (mental acuity, physical energy and total performance).
